MINERAL WOOL insulation

Description

MINERAL WOOL fibre insulation is manufactured from basalt rock and slag resulting in a noncombustible product that has a melting point of approximately 1177° C (2150° F), which gives it excellent fire-resistant properties. Satisfies CAN/ULC S114, Test for Non-Combustibility.

MINERAL WOOL fibre insulation is water-repellent yet vapour permeable (breathable). It will not absorb or store moisture and will not promote the growth of mildew or fungi.

Acceptable MINERAL WOOL fibre insulation products used in the akrilonPRO-XNC exterior insulation and finish system (EIFS) are as follows: RockBoard 80 as manufactured by Roxul Inc. Acceptable alternatives must be approved by Akrilon Industries Inc.
